We hosted a great visit from WASHWOOD HEATH ACADEMY https://washwood.academy in conjunction with Ductu https://www.ductu.co.uk last week, to introduce some SEN (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Students to various businesses we have at Waterside Business Park in Kings Norton Birmingham.
The Students had the opportunity to meet with the owners and employees of several different types of businesses, who provided an introduction into their products and services and to see first hand the world of work.
One of the great things the Students took away was the fact that there are lots of different and varied jobs and careers that are available and a lot of which don’t necessary need formal qualifications.
We had some great feedback from both the Teacher and the Students and we are looking forward to hosting several more events in the near future. So if any other Schools or Colleges would like to visit the various businesses we have at any of our Business Parks and Industrial Estates, please do not hesitate get in touch with us and we can facilitate a visit.
